I’m so glad I had first choice to stitch on this RR for Dina. I picked the little brown wren and the blackberries to stitch. (This is the secret to keeping me happily stitching away for hours – just look at the wonderful colours!)

This is the first time I have held back stitching until I first grid the fabric. After catching some miscounts before stitching (sorry Andromeda was on – space battles you know!) I think I am sold on the practice. Hopefully it will ensure I stitch where I’m supposed to and not throw the next stitcher off count!

This is the finished Aircraft Carrier using every shade of grey DMC has I’m sure! I hope Nate H enjoys it. This beauty just leapt onto the fabric. I find it funny that with a pattern like this – chocked full of 1/4 and 3/4 stitches and everything backstitched – I rarely make a mistake. Yet give me a simpler pattern and my mind wanders letting my fingers *x* along as they please. Seems like the easier the pattern the more I frog!And just a glimpse of what poor Holly has to put up with on a daily basis . . .
