“No comment, no comment!”     “No comment, please!”     And she throws the covers up over head, kitties, dachsie and all.

Spring in the North, ver 20.05

I tried it all – blackmail, bribery, threats and sealed orders from Supreme Space Command – just to get models for my lovely spring evening (Fort Nelson style) photographs.

All I got was a blocked doorway and “No way! Not me! . . . I’m not stupid!. . . You go out – if you’re so all fired eager to experience spring, without a winter coat. . . !” So I pulled out The Bickies of Last Resort.

You have to admire the level of motivation induced by a dried out ort of liver biscuit.

“Where is Holly?” you ask. That girl is the smartest of the pack . . . . she remained snug and warm, curled up in her papason chair.

This snow fall was a bit of a let down after having a month and a half of glorious summery weather. Why it was a shock is a profound mystery – snow and leaves and spring are always used in the same sentence here abouts. Good thing I haven’t put my flannel pj away yet! I think a round comfort food is in order for all concerned!

Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like bananas. – –Groucho Marx (1890-1977)

Lately my life has been making as much sense as Groucho’s quote and I haven’t even had the pleasure of sitting down and enjoying a good banana. At least Wascol has a good handle on life.

Five months can go pretty fast when you are messing with medications. It is pretty frustrating to think you have found a keeper only to have side-effects surface. Considering it was my eyes swelling this was one side effect I wasn’t going to just live with. Somehow experimenting with new medications is not my idea of having a good time. But I am determined to relax and enjoy each and every moment . . . but I’ll give fair warning, “Don’t mess with my sleep patterns. I’m not very pleasant when I don’t get enough sleep!” (with the deepest most sincere apologies to Dave and Jeremy)

Someone once told me that time is a predator that stalked us all our lives. But I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey that reminds us to cherish every moment because they’ll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we live it. After all, Number One, we’re only mortal.

It seems all I have been doing is shifting piles of stuff from one part of the house to another. [same ol' same ol'!] But I here are some pictures to show not all has been lost.

I read recently on a blog that the best thing to knit at 0200 was squares or dishcloths . . .

Funny how when I pulled this out this week it came together so easily; it is definitely a project you don’t want to tackle at the low end of living. Happy Birthday, Kale! Love Grummy-come-lately!
