I have enjoyed getting some Christmas stitching completed this year. This cute snow family, complete with snow kitty, is the latest. I loved the shading on this piece.

I finally figured out why my digital camera was giving me such awful colourings for my stitching. I have been hanging them on a sandstone coloured wall and the silly thing makes the wall white and the stitching eye-twisting combination of colours. It works much better to use a white background. So I won’t throw my camera away today!
I am also working on a beautiful piece by Dyan Allaire of Kustom Krafts. It appears what all my struggles with blending filament and metallic threads while working on the MarBek Nativity was worth it. I’m not having near the troubles with this piece.

Now if I could only find my Christmas music . . . . somebody around here loves playing hide-and-go-seek with the things I want in my hand right this instance!
Love the Snow Burr family. Was that one of those vinyl aida kits? I’ve tried and don’t enjoy stitching on the vinyl. I don’t know why, I just get a stitching block when I attempt it, kinda like when your computer freezes up and refuses to move.
Wonderful faeries. I’m enjoying mine. I can’t wait to see everyone’s finished faeries. Dyan sure know hows to design a pretty piece!
